At church last night we had a community Thanksgiving service with three other churches. I got to sing with Erin, another lady from my church. We sand a song called "If That Don't Make You Want to Go" by The Isaacs.
Here is the video. I know there are a couple of long interludes, and we just stand there and don't do anything. We are in a Baptist Church, and most of the older people don't like people to dance in church, so we didn't know what to do.
Here are the lyrics
John saw a golden city/ New Jerusalem come down
Twelve jasper walls and gates of pearl/ Such spender all around
And he tells about a river of life that flows beneath the throne
Where we'll drink and live eternally in a mansion all our own
(Chorus)
Oh, If that don't make you want to go, brother
If that don't make you want to go, sister
If that don't make you want to go to heaven
I don't know what does
They say there is no heartache there/ And know more curse of sin
No sickness and no cross to bear and death can't enter in
No fighting and no battle fields, no war no enemies
where the lamb and lion lay side by side in that land of perfect peace
Chorus
No worries/ No more to fear/ Our faith will be made sight
It's a glorious land of endless days and Jesus is the light
Got a lot of friends and love ones there, and the Savior I will meet
And I'll lay my crown of jewels down when I bow at Jesus' feet
Chorus 2 X
