Cooking, Thanking, Eating and a Movie

We had a very nice Thanksgiving. I like to cook, and I LOVE to eat. And we had a lot of good food.
I have always loved Thanksgiving. I love the colors of the trees. I like to joke around with my family.
And, as I said before I love to eat.

This year I made coconut cake, mash potatoes and biscuits. The recipe for the coconut cake is very good.
It's called,
Three Day Sour Cream Coconut Cake

The ingredients are,
1 pkg. Yellow butter cake mix
2 c. sugar
1 (16 oz.) carton sour cream
1 (10 oz.) carton whipped topping (thawed)
1 (12oz.) pkg. Frozen coconut (thawed)

Prepare cake according to directions. Bake in 2 layers. When cake is completely cool, spit layers in half. (I don't spit them.)

Combine sugar, sour cream and coconut, blend well. Save a cup of sour cream mixture.
Spread remaining mixture between split layers. Put a lot between layers.

Combine the cup of sour cream mixture with whipped
topping. Spread on top and sides of cake.

Seal in container and leave in refrigerator for 3 days before serving.

And I am telling you this is some GOOD cake.

We saw the movie “Lars and the Real Girl” on Thanksgiving too.
That is such a good movie. It's funny and sweet. My whole family really enjoyed it.
It's about Lars, a very sweet but shy loner, who lives in his brother and sister-in-laws garage.
One day he brings home his new girlfriend , Bianca, to meet his family. And to the family's surprises , Bianca is a very real looking sex doll. And even more to their surprise, Lars believes she is a real person.
After specking to a doctor, who tells the family they should go along with Lars' delusions until they find out what the problem is, his brother and sister-in-law convince their whole town to go a long with Lars' belief that Bianca is real.
My self , my mom, my dad and both brothers really enjoyed this movie. It's only playing limited release, but if it is playing in a theater near you, you should see this movie. Or at least rent it when it comes to DVD.
