Mission Trip to Dalton, G.A.

Our church left for Dalton, G.A. Sunday the 13th. We had 19 people in our group. We all had a blast.

We worked with Rebuilding Hope Ministries and Habitat for Humanity. This couple let us (all 19 of us) stay at their house the whole week. The wife is a sister to the man who is head of Rebuilding Hope, and she and her husband let all the volunteer groups stay with them. They have a beautiful home that fit all of us.

We worked hard. And it was hot. We were split in different groups at different times but we got a lot of stuff done. We did yard work, painting, flooring, and plumbing for one widowed elderly lady. Built a deck for another lady. Re-did sheet rock in a bathroom ceiling, re-built drawers, painted, and put in a door for under this man's trailer. And put in new flooring for a family. And pulled weeds for the Habitat site. (A ton of weeds.) Whew! I'm tired just thinking about it.

Then down the road from the house we were staying at, neighbors let us go swimming in their very nice pool. Then we went to Chattanooga, T.N. Wednesday night.

Thursday we went to every work site and spoke to the people we had helped. And that night we had a great singing and worship service at the house. I loved it!

Here are some videos Jordan and i made of the last two Mission trips.
